The Squier Precision Bass uses a solid poplar body with a gloss polyurethane finish and a bolt-on maple neck. A 34-inch scale length and 20 medium jumbo frets provide a familiar layout for standard electric bass technique. The split single-coil Precision Bass pickup delivers a focused low-end response with moderate output, controlled through master volume and tone knobs. Its four-saddle bridge supports straightforward intonation adjustment, while the sealed tuning machines maintain stable pitch during extended sessions. The instrument ships with nickel-plated steel strings and a synthetic bone nut.
